Reasons you live a mediocre life and how to change it

“Most humans, in varying degrees, are already dead.

In one way or another they have lost their dreams, their ambitions, their desire for a better life.

They have surrendered their fight for self-esteem and they have compromised their great potential.

They have settled for a life of mediocrity, days of despair and nights of tears.

They are no more than living deaths confined to cemeteries of their choice.

Yet they need not remain in that state.

They can be resurrected from their sorry condition.

They can each perform the greatest miracle in the world.

They can each come back from the dead…”

Og Mandino, The Greatest Miracle in World

Do you find the above text “too much” or even “offensive”? Good!

It means that the words you just read struck a chord with you and deep down you know it is the truth.

Deep down you know that the life you live sucks, and yet, you keep doing the same old same old, hoping for some real change.

Change that never comes because you keep waiting ‘for something to change’.

I’m here to tell you that you can change!

But only if you ‘make up your mind’, only if YOU decide what it is that you really want.

Vision of the life you desire

It takes no effort to daydream about the life, or result, we want to achieve. But it takes a 120% effort of making that happen. And this is where excuses come in.

If it takes time, determination, effort and (God forbid!) some sacrifice – most people won’t even try. But oh boy – they will go out of their way to justify ‘why this is not the right time’....

Sounds like something you might have done before? We all have…..

So why are we so willing to believe our excuses?

Could it be because what we thought we wanted, we actually didn’t want? Or is the thought of changing anything too scary?

Or maybe we are visioning our life from a place of lack, from a place of need instead of from a place of love and gratitude

Do you want to get things, or receive?

What’s the difference you ask?

Desire vs Need

I’m fascinated by Abraham Hicks and their teachings. If you haven’t heard about Abraham Hicks, you are missing out. Abraham Hicks is a self-described group consciousness from the non-physical dimension. Google it, it is amazing!

In one of Abraham’s workshops, Esther Hicks (who channels Abraham)  asked a member from the audience who was in the hot seat this question:

“Are you under the influence of Desire or Need?”

I had to pause the video to think about it. What an interesting question, don’t you think?

It actually ties to my point of view of visioning your life from a place of need or gratitude.

I believe that in every waking moment we are under the influence of ‘something’. And this something determines what kind of life we live.

So contemplate on this:

Are you under the influence of a desire or a need? Are you influenced by a problem you are experiencing, by lack of something?

If you need something to make you feel happy, excited or satisfied – you are under the influence of need. You want to get something so you are asking for it from a place of lack

“I need this something to make me feel something! And only when I get this something, only then I’ll feel happy (or other elevated emotion)!”.

I bet you know people around you who say this all the time. My clients say this very often during our first “envisioning your life” session. But they know better now and so can you.

Abraham Hicks says that when you are under the influence of a desire rather than a need, then the lack, of absence of it,  doesn’t bother you.

Gabby Bernstein, Jay Shetty, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Wayne Dyer, Echart Tolle, Tony Robbins, Sadghuru, Rhonda Byrne and many more (spiritual) teachers – they teach us the same thing.

When we want something to manifest, we have to embody that future as it is already happening to us right now.

Otherwise you are putting so many conditions on your wellbeing, and you will never get there.

If you are under the influence of “I really need something” and it is not happening – it is very difficult to trust and believe or feel elevated emotions such as happiness, love or satisfaction.

Can you wake up,  walk, talk live and breathe as if the future you want is already happening?

Easier said than done, right?! And yet, there are so many examples of common people, just like you and me, who manifested everything they wanted in their lives.

But how?

By accepting the fact that what they want is possible!

They achieved their dream life by being grateful. As Dr. Joe Dispenza teaches ‘gratitude is the highest form of receivership’

So why are you living a mediocre life and not the life of your dreams?

Is it maybe:

  1. You refuse to step out of your known world, your comfort zone (meh, I know my life is shitty, but I’m ok with it….)
  2. You are just lazy, simple as that (meh, it’s too much trouble….)
  3. You fear what others might think of you (friends, family, society…)
  4. You don’t know what you want (I feel lost and scared…..)
  5. You are scared of failing (I want a better life, but what if……..)
  6. You are not committed to the vision of your future (meh, tomorrow is another day…..)
  7. You are getting well meant ‘bad’ advice from your environment (advice based on others fears, failures and perceptions)
  8. You don’t know where to start……

I can help you start.

We will determine together where you are right now, where you want to go and how to get there. I’ll be in the passenger seat of the vehicle that is your life and teach you how to live your future NOW.

I know YOU CAN! Do you?
